I’m thrilled that after more than 20 years of research, the NK blood test I created and developed is finally undergoing a rigorous, prospective scientific trial. Research takes time, especially for pioneering new technology.
So far, I’ve shown that the NK activity blood test can discriminate between women with different levels of immune activity, and that this is associated with reproductive outcomes.
I’ve linked this test to a new immune therapy I call the Bondi Protocol. A large retrospective study has shown it may be highly effective in women with high NK cell activity.

It’s always important to strive to prove things properly. To test our ideas rigorously, and to give more patients and doctors access to, and confidence in, what we’ve seen so far.
As part of my work with Genea, and in close collaboration with the Genea research team, we’ve set up a formal trial of the NK test. It’s accessible nationally at Genea, and it allows women to access the test for free.
As part of the trial design, the first embryo transfer is done without the result being known, so the data can be gathered properly and stand up to scrutiny.
Patients who’d like to understand more about the trial are welcome to raise it at a consultation with me. I also know many patients don’t have the time, or the inclination, to wait on trial results. Direct access to the NK test, outside the trial, remains available, as it has for the last 15 years.
